Whitewater Community Alliance Steering Committee meets with Planning Commission 11-19-2015

On Thursday November 19, 2015 representatives of the Whitewater Community Alliance Steering Committee attended the Mesa County Planning Commission monthly meeting.  The WCA Steering Committee’s purpose was to request information about the procedure followed for the administrative review process regarding the Conditional Use Permit governing the Alanco Deer Creek site.  WAC was told by Linda Dannenberger, Planning Division Director, the review had not yet been published but was being completed by various departments of the Mesa County Planning Department. When asked if Whitewater residents would be included as “stakeholders” in this administrative review in regards to the Alanco CUP Danneberger said yes, she did not know why they would not be allowed to be stakeholders.  She said the WAC could submit a letter to be added to the administrative review. The Steering Committee will be preparing a letter to be given to the Planning Department on Tuesday, November 24th.
